Filament dust filter (1.75mm diameter)
thingiverse
###PURPOSE Dust and dirt particles on the filament accumulate rapidly, causing extruder clogs. This effective solution tackles this problem by simply printing the dust filter and inserting a piece of sponge around the filament. It's that simple! ###FILES To use this solution, you need to print the __dust_filter_out.stl__ file and the __dust_filter_in_x.xxmm_tolerance.stl__ file. Choose the right tolerance for your specific situation. ###SUGGESTIONS - When printing slowly with a 1mm layer height, consider using **0.0mm** or **0.25mm** tolerance. The former may require sandpapering but yields excellent results by allowing you to control friction levels. The latter should work seamlessly. - Faster print speeds and higher layer heights can compromise precision, necessitating more tolerance (from **0.25mm** to **1.0mm**). - Although I'm unsure why, I've created higher tolerance versions (from **1.0mm** to **1.5mm**) just in case you need them.
