Filament dryer from original bag
thingiverse
Hello Everyone! *First of all, this is a work in progress! I will finish as soon as possible. For now there is a problem: the bag may crease around the spool, I have to solve this then it will be just perfect!* This is an alternate drybox. You could ask why I made this? Long story short: cheap, all parts printed, useable as a simple spool, but keeps your filament dry! Sometimes you can't afford to buy 20-30 boxes in IKEA or anywhere else to make boxes you can find also on thingiverse. Maybe your environment around the 3D printer not allows to place a box like that. That's why I designed this "drybox" actually a drybag. You can do it all by yourself, just using your 3d printer and the original filament bag. Nevertheless it can be used as an average spool, just hang it on the 3d printer's spool holder. Of course it has cons compared to a drybox, if not assembled well, or the bag is too small it could crease so the spool could get blocked and it won't turn around inside the bag. Take a close look at the first print to make sure, the spool in the bag can move easily. What you need to assemble one? 1 pcs base 1 pcs moving_side_inner 1 pcs steady_side_outer(_with_handle) (imo it's easier and better with handle) 1 pcs moving_side_outer(_with_handle) (same as above) 1 pcs filament_hole_base 1 pcs filament_hole_lock 2 pcs long_clip 3 pcs short_clip 5 pcs clip_holder
