Filament Dryer Enclosure for Dehydrator

Filament Dryer Enclosure for Dehydrator

This is my first attempt at creating a filament dryer enclosure for a popular dehydrator: Commercial Chef CCD100W6 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075ZB3V9S. There are other designs available that allow you to dry filament horizontally in this dehydrator, but I wanted to be able to dry multiple filament reels and print directly from the cabinet. This design allows you to hang up to three reels in the enclosure and print simultaneously. I chose not to include holes in the cabinet for the filament to pass through, as I am unsure yet where I will have this cabinet located in relation to my printer. However, these would be easy to add with a simple edit. Alternatively, the filament snoot from this thing looks like it would work well on this application: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1618037. Unfortunately, my print bed was not large enough to print this in one shot, which complicated the build significantly. I ended up having to print the body in eight pieces and the lid in two, then glue them together. I also split the hanger into three pieces. This allowed me to print the right and left sections slower, and at a higher resolution since their tolerances need to be closer, and then print the middle section faster. Here is the complete file list of parts you will need to print: **Body for smaller print beds (8 pieces)** - Four-pc Bottom A (print 2) - Four-pc Bottom B (print 2) - Four-pc Top A (print 2) - Four-pc Top B (print 2) OR Body for larger print beds (2 pieces) - Two-pc Body (print 2) **Following files needed for all builds** - Lid Left - Lid Right - Hanger left - Hanger Middle - Hanger Right - Keeper Screw One other note so you avoid the mistake I made: after printing and assembling this, I decided to paint the cabinet to even out some of the coloring. I did this outside and left the cabinet out in the sun to dry. This turned out to be a major mistake, as the cabinet warped badly as you can see in the photos. It still works, but doesn't look so great. I am new to this, so welcome any comments or suggestions.
