Filament Drybox

This is a simple filament drybox. It's made from a 22l SAMLA box from IKEA and can hold up to about 5 spools of filament.

It has a holder for a hygrometer to keep track of the temperature and humidity inside the box. The box is sealed with some “Tesa Moll”, but I think any tape for window sealing will do. I put in 1 kg of silicagel and even after a year the hygrometer displays 10% RH, which is the lowest value it can measure. The spools sit on m8 threaded rods.

The clips for closing the box are designed by Wookbert (thank you very much <3) and you can download the STL files on thingiverse by clicking the link below:

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2110134

List for non printable parts:

2x: m8 threaded rod (about 335mm long)

3x: m3*5 screw (screwed into the plastic of the hygrometer mount)

8x: m3*10 screws and nuts (for holding the “rod mount” in place)

1x: Hygrometer
