Filament dry box with bowden tube
thingiverse
I designed this with inspiration from MirageC's filament dry box. I created a slightly different roller system that uses rollers on 5mm rod. I had carbon fiber rod laying around so I used that but anything would work. I also added a clip that will mount to the frame of a prusa MK3. I got the container from wholesale club but any container of similar dimensions will work. To assemble I measured where I wanted the holes for the rods (~5mm drill bit), frame clip (~3.5mm drill bit), and bowden fitting receiver (~20mm drill bit or whatever you have and grind to fit). I then measured the rods so they poke out each side of the container 3-5mm and cut them (checking to make sure rod holders fit on end of rods and are flush to container). I then screwed the frame clip on using silicone around the holes. I used 6/32 x 1/2" screws but something similar will work. I then set the rollers on the shaft and glued the rod holders in place. Last I screwed the bowden fitting receiver into place using silicone around the hole again. The threads were a bit tight at first but I worked them in by hand before I put them in place. If this doesn't work I would suggest scaling the female part up a bit and reprinting it. The bowden fitting receiver is designed to fit a 10mm thread bowden fitting but it may need to be drilled/ sanded out for a tight fit.
