This is a bespoke wall mounting/Dry box solution I designed. It's remarkably compact and boasts extremely low friction thanks to the clever use of bearings (608ZZ Bearing 8x22x7) in the spool holder. Print Settings Printer: XYZ Da Vinci Pro Rafts: None Used Supports: Not Required Resolution: Either .2mm or .3mm Infill: A solid 100% Notes: The Rod features a precise 3.65mm/.144in hole running through it, allowing for the seamless integration of a metal insert. Without this, the rod will inevitably flex and break under stress! It's essential to print this on its side. The Rod measures an impressive 7.2mm/.283in in diameter and can be replaced with a similar bolt if needed. Thread UST: A precise .3125, 5/16-18UNC, Class 2A thread is used here. Spool Holders may not perfectly accommodate spools due to shrinkage; a scale tolerance of 1%-3% may be necessary depending on the printer being used. Bearings used in these holders are two high-quality 608ZZ Bearings measuring 8x22x7.
