This is my version of a filament dry box that I've successfully created and used. The filament can be easily fed from the dry box straight to the extruder, making it a convenient solution for my printing needs. So far, I have built three of these boxes and they have worked perfectly for me. Printed Components • Filament Dowel Holder (Qty 2) - This component holds up the PVC Spool Shaft with ease. • 6mm Quick Release Fitting Plugs (Qty however many Filament Tube Quick Connects you install) - These plugs provide a secure connection to the filament tube quick connects. Purchase Components • Dry Box: I purchased this dry box from Target, available at https://www.target.com/p/sterilite-20-qt-gasket-box-clear-with-blue-latches/-/A-15066036. • Filament Guide Tubing: This tubing is essential for guiding the filament and can be found on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073RDMDS6/?coliid=I34O6Q1FVMBU3Y&colid=25SXWVUNEU6C9&psc=1. • Filament Tube Quick Connect: This quick connect is a must-have for easy filament tube connections and can be purchased on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07124KF69/?coliid=I4FTMXLZ2PA9M&colid=25SXWVUNEU6C9&psc=1. • Filament Spool Shaft: I used 3/4 in PVC Sch. 40 Pipe x 12.75 in length for this component. • Screws: These screws have a 6-32 thread size and are 3/8" long, making them ideal for assembling the dry box. • Nuts: These nuts have a 6-32 thread size and provide a secure fit for the screws.
