Filament Dispenser Dry Box For Hygroscopic Materials TPE TPU NYLON etc.
thingiverse
Here's my take on a filament dispensing dry storage environment for hygroscopic filaments. It was designed to be installed above a printer horizontally, with adjustable depth and a universal spool holding hub that adapts to different spools. It mainly requires a suitable storage box - I used a Sistema S487 5Ltr "Klip It" Storage Container because of its size and the lid's integral sealing system. You can undoubtedly adapt it for other storage boxes, vertical installation, or any other configuration you need. To assemble the dry storage environment, you'll need a few parts: some skateboard bearings, a PC4-M6 push fit pneumatic coupler, 18 x 10mm M3 machine screws and their associated nuts, PTFE Boden tube, a drill and bits for cutting holes, and a suitable container or sachet for silica gel beads. When drilling or cutting the storage box's material, be careful - it can be brittle. Use low pressure and take great care to avoid damaging the box. The stand-off on the base spool holder provides good clearance for adding silica gel beads. With these beads in place, you can achieve a relative humidity as low as 10% inside the box.
