I designed these baskets to hold desiccant in some cereal storage containers that are the perfect size for storing 1KG filament spools. The top of the basket is taped with double-sided tape and the basket slides on and off so the desiccant can be replaced/refreshed, when needed.

The cereal storage containers I used are: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07K3TPQ86

Scotch-Mount double-sided mounting tape (411H): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0083K36KA

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Creality

Printer:

Ender 3

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.20

Infill:

20%

Filament: Paramount 3D PLA+ Volcano

Notes:

All parts can be printed without supports if your printer does a decent job of bridging. See the screenshot from PrusaSlicer for the recommended orientation. Note, the lid needs to be rotated so the raised disc is facing up as shown in the screenshot.
Because these parts are tolerance fit, you may have to adjust the flow of your printer so the basket slides on and off with a little effort, but not too easily! I designed in a -0.25mm interference offset for the sliding parts as I error on the side of very slightly over-extruding on my printer.

Category: 3D Printer Accessories
