Filament cutter (only 9mm snap off blade needed)
thingiverse
Another filament cutter for 1.75mm filament joins the ranks..\nThe blade slices through the filament at a precise angle as it glides forward.\nObjective:\nCraft a fully printable small filament cutter that relies solely on a standard box cutter's snap-off blade, eliminating the need for springs, screws, washers, nuts, or any other component requiring precise dimensions. The snapped part should measure 9mm precisely..\nI successfully designed this from scratch with impressive functionality in mind. Although it turned out to be slightly larger than initially anticipated, it remains fully printable and remarkably lightweight.\nA brief video demonstration can be viewed here: https://youtu.be/8BqCJIh7eeQ\nPrint Settings:\nPrinter: Wanhao Duplicator i3 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.1/0.2 layer height Infill: 30% Notes: This design requires printing at either 0.2 or 0.1 layer height to ensure smooth operation. Attempting a 0.3 layer height may render the "slide" non-functional.\nSupports are necessary for the overhang on the base part.\nThe "sliding" motion's smoothness ultimately depends on your print quality.
