Filament Cutter - Ergo
thingiverse
I really loved the minimalism and design of LToyCreations' filament cutter, but it was a bit too small for my hands, so I was worried I'd misplace it. To overcome this challenge, I took their idea as inspiration and created a larger version with contoured areas at each end to fit comfortably in my fingers and a loop for easy hanging. Since I didn't have the correct-sized spring, I adapted it using one that worked just fine. The spring is 3/8 x 3/4 in size, and I also added an M3 flat washer for extra stability. The rest of the hardware remains unchanged. Printer Settings: Printer Brand: Printrbot Printer Model: Simple Black Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: .10 mm Infill Percentage: 100% Notes: To achieve optimal results, I printed the parts on their side, which provided a smoother finger surface and made it easier to remove supports.
