This Filament Cutter (3mm) was designed using "4ndreas Filament Cutter (1.75mm)" with scissor jaws, giving it the capability to cut 3mm diameter filament. The cutter is 30% larger than 4ndreas cutter. Print Settings Printer: LymanBot 3D Printer V2 Rafts: No rafts were used. Supports: Yes, supports are included in the print. Resolution: A resolution of 0.40 with a nozzle size of 0.50 was achieved. Infill: The infill density is set at 50%. Post-Printing Instructions Remove supports from the female jaw and dress the holes. Design Process This design was created using AutoCAD solid modeling software. Custom Section The Part E pad is attached to the plunger part of the cutter using MEK. The male jaw Part D is attached in a similar manner to the pad. The female jaw remains unattached, allowing it to move freely. To access the bolts holding the cutter together, simply remove the female jaw from the bottom part of the cutter. For a detailed assembly tutorial, refer to 4ndreas' video on cutter assembly.
