Some users have concerns with the filament getting warmed up by the extruder steppermotor. These two components enable mounting of a 50mm fan within the filament compartment. This should provide some cooling, although I am unsure whether it will completely solve this issue because I have not been able to reproduce the problem. Initially, I utilized an older 50x50x10 fan; later on, I plan to experiment with a 15mm one. Instructions Tidy up the part somewhat after printing for better fitment. Securely fasten the fan using two fan screws commonly used in personal computers. Pretap the screws employed for attaching the fanholder to the cover beforehand. Remove the original black covering Carefully insert the fanmount with a slight tilt, followed by a smooth transition into place and ensure it goes all the way up Ensure that no wires are obstructing the printhead side Press down the fanmount while allowing the wires below the mount to freely move around Place the cover directly in front of the fanmount, ensuring alignment before fastening with screws Note for die-hards: Make a precise cut through the top of the overlord's pillar for enhanced airflow. The image at the bottom depicts an opening I made at the top of the OLP. There is nothing structurally integral in that region if you adhere strictly to a 50mm width in the middle; it can thus be eliminated upon attaining precise results. The only remaining step involves drilling sufficient holes within the cover for better airflow. For enhanced effectiveness, I intend to acquire a 24V, 50mm fan and connect it directly to the circuit board online. Currently, I'm reliant on an external power supply, with plans to reevaluate this in due course.
