Filament-Clip to mark rest-amount of filament
thingiverse
We consistently struggled within our company to encourage employees to utilize the existing spool and unusable filament, which added up to 222 grams due to Bowden issues. Despite knowing exactly how much filament was required by Cura, people often hesitated to use the leftover material for their prints. To address this issue, I needed a solution that not only secured the loose ends of our filament spools but also provided a clear indication of the remaining filament weight. The design I created is specifically tailored for Innofil-Spools with their distinctive ridge along the outer rim. This design can be easily adapted using the provided FreeCAD file.
