I've finally got it right with my version under OpenSCAD. Those tiny clips just aren't cutting it, so I'm moving on. No deburring required here because of those clever chamfers. The source file uses the library <Chamfer.scad>, which can be found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1305888 - give it a look! This design is geared towards 1.75 mm diameter filament, but you can easily tweak it to suit your needs. I added an extra hole for attaching a label where I jot down the type of filament used, the first use date, and those sweet temperature spots that delivered great results.
