Filament Clip - Mini Curved Version 5 - Double Curve - BEST YET!

The original curve conforms to the radius of the spool. The new second curve is at right angles to the first curve - this makes for a tighter grip on the spool, as well as a tighter grip on the filament.</p><p>In addition, the clip profile has been tweaked a bit to further improve the grip, and to use a bit less filament and print a little bit faster.</p><p>I have tested this version on five different makes of spools, and it grips well on all of them.&nbsp;</p><p>This is my fourth attempt at getting the “perfect” filament clip. My previous attempts worked reasonably well, but did not completely meet all of my design goals:</p><ol><li>Cheap to print (minimal filament use)</li><li>Single piece - no assembly required</li><li>Works with a variety of filament reels</li><li>Clips firmly onto the filament reel</li><li>Attaches/removes easily on the filament reel</li><li>Clips the filament firmly<br>&nbsp;</li></ol><p>These clips also work with my Filament Clip Storage Tree (link below), although putting them on the “tree” is a bit harder due to the tighter fit.</p><p><a href="https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/45236-filament-clip-storage-tree-holder">https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/45236-filament-clip-storage-tree-holder</a></p><h4>Print Instructions</h4><p>Print in PLA using the 3mf or gcode files provided. In general :<br>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>perimeters = 4</li><li>infill = 0%</li><li>orient edge down on the build plate</li></ul><p>I printed on a smooth plate and did not use a brim.
