Filament clip for 2.85 mm filament

Filament holder for 2.85 mm filament that securely attaches and detaches with ease, yet maintains a firm grip to keep the filament in place. The clip fits snugly within standard spindles between walls, preventing damage to plastic cover bags and allowing easy storage back in its original box. When the clip's ends become stuck together after printing, simply place it on a workbench, oriented as it was printed, and tap gently with a flat screwdriver to release (see accompanying image). To achieve optimal results, a printing material with minimal creep is essential, otherwise clamping force may decrease over time (months). As such, PLA is not recommended for this design. Usage: Begin by clipping the filament end into the central hole of the clip, followed by attaching the previous turn-around point (see accompanying image) and pulling it tight to secure.
