Filament Cleaner / Sweeper for the M3D Micro
thingiverse
This small yet sleek filament cleaner is precision-designed to sit snugly atop the M3D Micro's print head. The subtle drag it creates flows directly inline with the filament feed, ensuring a smooth transition as the filament moves. To use it effectively, simply carve out a cube of foam slightly larger than the cleaner and press it firmly in place. First-time users should carefully cut their filament at an angle to create a pointed end, which can then be used to carefully bore a hole through the foam. The filament seamlessly enters the cube on the uncut side, while the cutout neatly surrounds the cable that exits the Micro's print head. If you need detailed instructions, you'll find two versions of the STL available - one with a scaffold design that should be printed without supports enabled, and then subsequently stripped using needle-nosed pliers or similar.
