Filament cleaner for Velleman K8200 3D printer

People on various online forums reported issues with a clogged nozzle. A primary reason for this problem may be the presence of dust, powder, or another form of contamination on the filament. I considered it would be beneficial to have a small cleaning device before the extruder. I designed it so that it can be easily installed on the frame using one of my clips (visit FULL http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:221362 or FLAT http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:225642) and two pins. This cleaner can be moved left or right along the frame, allowing for optimal placement, as well as being rotated to put it in a suitable position for the filament's path. A small piece of kitchen sponge serves this purpose adequately. However, something worth considering is that the material used must remain soft when dry so that it may tightly hold onto the filament; some sponges are hard as rock when they are completely dry and will not fit snugly around the filament until moistened. To gain further details on how to build one, a schematic diagram of its structure, parts list, as well as more specifications can be found at my blog: http://ljwinkler.blogspot.com/2014/08/filament-cleaner-for-velleman-k8200-3d.html Thank you, LJ
