Filament Check Valve
prusaprinters

Having problems with my mmu2s pushing the filament back trough the filament buffer und tangling the filament around the spool and ruining the print, I designed this filament check valve. It lets the filament trough in only one direction and prevents the filament from being pushed back. To change the filament manually back out of the valve you can disconnect the mechanism by pushing the release.

Inside is a 4,5mm steel ball and a 20x6x2mm magnet, which acts like a spring on the steel ball to make sure it works everytime. The print needs to be paused to put in the steel ball. The magnet is held by the cover, which needs to be pressed firmly in the main body to engage. The release needs to be sanded a little pit to run smoothly inside the valve. With 2 connectors you can connect it to any 4mm teflon tube.

Printed in pla without supports.

It prints under an hour with 0,27mm layer height and 2 perimeters.

Print:

Body 1x

Connector 2x

Cover 1x

Release 1x

Don't forget the steel ball mid print.
