Human: Simple GCODE Script with LCD Button Interaction. I was struggling with inconsistent print colors after switching filaments due to residual plastic remaining in the hot end. To resolve this issue, I created a custom script that runs from my Ender3 SD card whenever I change filament color or material. This code heats the hot end to 220C, ensuring the lowest possible viscosity for most PLA materials. It then retracts the current filament from the hot end entirely and waits for user input. When the user loads new filament and presses the LCD button, 7.5cm of the new material is extruded from the hot end into mid-air, allowing easy collection and disposal of any excess plastic.
