Filament Cabinet Solution

I'm excited to share my first upload with you all! I've only been exploring the world of 3D printing for about a week now. I was inspired by RilleRick's dry cabinet design and decided to give it a try myself. However, after printing out his piece, I felt that it might be a bit too thin to hold its own weight, especially with two poles bearing down on it. So, I set out to create something sturdier - a connecting "tissue" between the two sides that would keep everything level and secure. I used RilleRick's design as inspiration, but started from scratch using Sketchup to create my own piece. The result is a robust solution that can hold its own weight with ease! Here are the parts I used for this project: * Ikea cabinet: Billy/Morliden (392.873.79) - This combo includes both the cabinet and glass door. * Aluminum rods: Everbilt 1/2 in x 36 in from Home Depot * Lights for the cabinet: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FNNHHST/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00 * Humidity/Temperature Sensor: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07L4QNZVF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s01 * Magnetic catches: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Q25J89Y/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00 * Dehumidifiers (2): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000H0XFCS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00 * Number 6 x 1/2" self-drilling screws (8 per row) I cut the aluminum rods to 14.25" lengths, which gave me two sets of two per purchased rod. This cabinet can fit four rows of rolls and I get about five to six rolls per row. To keep things tidy, I separated each row by nine inches. The printed piece is designed to allow these screws to disappear into the part while still holding it tightly in place. This solution is incredibly strong and supports a lot of weight! One final touch - the lights are motion-activated, so when you open the glass door, they spring to life! I'm thrilled with how this project turned out and I think you will be too.
