It's Time to Create Something from Scratch. Building Prototypes and Sharing Them with the Community is a Thrilling Experience. That's How the Filament Buffer Cassette Clip System 2000 (FBCCS2k) Was Born, a Project I'm Extremely Proud of. To Share the Story Behind It, I've Posted Pictures of the Design Process, From Prototyping to Completion. I'd Like to Express My Gratitude to Karkovski and TNDave for Their Brilliant Idea on the Clip System. Their Inspiration Helped Shape the FBCCS2k into a Reality. The ZeroBeast Also Deserves a Mention for His Innovative Approach to This Type of Project. The Pictures Included Are Essentially Assembly Instructions, So Be Careful When Working with the Recorder, Which Has a 28h Print Time. A Raft and Enclosure Would be a Great Idea, Especially Since It Wraps Off the Bed at the Last Inch and Needs to Be Reprinted and Glued. As You Can See from the Pictures, the FBCCS2k is Mounted Under an Ikea Lack Table, Which Helps Optimize Filament Guidance from the Spool to the MMU2S. This Results in No Twists or Tangles. The PTFE-tube Measures 4mm Outside and 2mm Inside, Similar to Those Found on Prusa Printers. The Screws Used to Hold the Tubes Are 25x3mm. Make Sure to Screw Them In Until the Tube Can't Move Any Further. Classic 608 Z or ZZ Bearings Are Also Essential Components of This System. The Box for the Filament Buffer Is Made of Rigid PVC, a Material That Provides Excellent Stability and Support. The Design is Specifically Engineered for 3mm Thickness, Which Ensures Automatic Pressure for Optimal Performance. With Its 300mm Length, the Buffered Filament Will Remain Inside the Box. If You Prefer to Close the Front for Better Humidity Control (e.g., PVA Filament), the Cover Would Measure 128mm x 53.5mm.
