Filament Box

Since boxes like eSUN filament boxes cost nearly $100, just to keep a single roll of filament dry and tempered, I designed my own DIY solution. To make it work, you'll need these essential add-ons: A hygrometer/thermometer (I used this one from eBay) A heat mat (such as this 5W option on eBay) Some rubber glue or rubber bands for the lid's cutout rim Alternatively, some sponge for the lid instead of silica Some plexiglass to cover the cutouts on the front Since you can add silica in the holder at the backside of the box, it will keep your filament dry, especially for large prints. The heat bed will eliminate air moisture, while the silica or sponge absorb that fluid. You could also replace the filament outlet with a real nozzle, but since the hole is small and the inside heat is high, it will prevent too much moisture from entering the box. Print time is about 3 days, depending on your settings.
