Filament Box Spool System
thingiverse
As I wasn't satisfied with how other filament boxes managed spools, I came up with my own solution. Now each filament spool has its own holder, called an Abroller, which features a c608zz bearing inside. This way, all spools can roll independently without any issues. To make this work, you'll need some c608zz bearings and an 8mm round bar, such as wood. The Filament_Box_Halter is designed for the ends, as the weight of the wood bar tends to sag in that area. So I also created the Filament_Box_ZwischenHalter, which goes right in the middle of the box to support the wood bar. In addition to these custom solutions, I used two other 3D printing designs from Thingiverse: one for feeding filament into the printer and another to seal the tube back into the box and keep it airtight. The second design is also great for plugging in a fresh spool of filament when you need to replace an old one. To close off the opening where the tube goes, I use the Filament_Box_Stopsel.stl file.
With this file you will be able to print Filament Box Spool System with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Filament Box Spool System.
