Filabracket (storage system)
myminifactory
This is my concept for a filament storage shelf, constructed using 12mm steel rods to connect the brackets. However, you can opt for wood or aluminum pipes as an alternative material, which may lead to slight bending in the middle section. To compensate for this potential issue, I designed a supporting bracket for the mid-point. It's recommended to print these parts using ABS or PETG filament. While I haven't tried printing with PLA, my test run utilized a 0.4mm nozzle and four perimeter layers for added stability. For optimal results, ensure you use at least 25% infill (either triangular or honeycomb patterns). A brim may be necessary to secure the parts in place during the printing process. The design is specifically tailored to fit within a standard 20x20cm print bed, with holes measuring 12.2mm in diameter. Each part should weigh approximately 100 grams, and I've included simple screw cover plates for added convenience. Feel free to experiment with this design and share your results with the community!
