Figurine Head, Front
myminifactory
This 17th-century ceramic fragment, crafted from durable ball clay, was painstakingly uncovered by archaeologists at the St. John's Site in 2004 through the meticulous efforts of Historic St. Mary's City. A separate file showcases a crucial portion of the figurine head, discovered decades earlier in the 1970s. The exceptionally well-preserved site is now housed within the St. John's Site Museum (visit http://www.hsmcdigshistory.org/visit/museum-map/st-johns-site/). Both fragments were simultaneously captured with precision by a NextEngine Desktop 3D scanner, courtesy of Historic St. Mary's City.
