Figurine Head, Back
myminifactory
The original 17th-century figurine fragment, crafted from sturdy ball clay, was unearthed by the skilled archaeologists at Historic St. Mary's City in the 1970s as part of their meticulous excavation at the St. John's Site. A significant portion of this ancient figurine head was discovered in 2004 and is now available for viewing as a separate file, accessible here. The remarkably well-preserved site itself can be seen within the walls of the St. John's Site Museum (http://www.hsmcdigshistory.org/visit/museum-map/st-johns-site/), where it remains a vital piece of history. Both figurine fragments were expertly scanned at the same time using a cutting-edge NextEngine Desktop 3D scanner, courtesy of Historic St. Mary's City.
