sketchfab
Anthropomorphic figurine of Olmecoid style. This figurine forms part of an offering excavated during the restoration of Casa del Mendrugo. These types of figurines have been culturally associated with Guerrero, where a strong Olmec influence existed from 1000 to 200 BCE. We believe this piece was passed down as a family heirloom for generations before being finally offered in the site now occupied by Casa del Mendrugo, sometime between the Late Classic and Early Postclassic periods (1000-1250 CE).
