FigRig camera mount. 300 x 300 bed or larger required
pinshape
This enables a 1/4-20 standard tripod screw to be inserted and securely mount almost any camera in place. To assemble this system, you will need a single 1/4-20 x 1/2" screw for the camera mount and two 1/4-20 x 3/4" screws with accompanying nuts to attach the handles; the optional 22mm grip is recommended for its comfortable foam design. Unless your bed is exceptionally large, you will need to rotate the base at a 45-degree angle to accommodate it on a standard 300x300 bed setup. To prevent the handles from rotating, provide minimal support by incorporating a square inset during assembly. The bed should be printed with an infill density of 60% or higher for optimal strength and stability, while the handles should be printed at 100% to ensure they can withstand heavy use without excessive flexing. Due to its three wide mounting rails, this unit offers unparalleled flexibility in terms of camera configuration; simply mount your camera so it feels balanced and centered, with the lens positioned directly in line (as demonstrated by the GoPro example). For added versatility, you can even attach multiple cameras simultaneously, perfect for comparative analysis or creating 3D images.
