We use Fido jars for storing flour, noodles, and other dry goods. Frequently changing the types of flour or grains stored led us to cut off the original labels on packaging and place them beside the jars. However, after quickly pouring out a jar of flour, I accidentally mixed a paper label into bread, prompting me to find a better solution. This component sits in the lid of a jar and securely holds a product label in place. A spring-loaded mechanism makes it easy to switch labels. I designed this for Fido Jars but believe it should work on Mäser, Korken, or any other jar with wire mounting. You may need to adjust the outer diameter (ri) or add extra support length (extra_h). To improve grip, I added TPU grips to the edges, as plastic struggled to hold onto glass, whereas TPU proved more effective. For optimal performance, consider using ABS or PET-G for the spring-loaded grip and TPU or other flexible materials with rubbery properties for the pads.
