Fidget spinner with 1/2 inch bearings
thingiverse
Human: created using Tinkercad, a simple design ideal for those with larger hands, featuring a nice weight and sufficient mass for a smooth spin. A common 608 skate bearing serves as the central component, supported by nine (9) 1/2" stainless ball bearings on the outer rim. The bearings measure 12.67mm in diameter and have a hole designed to fit snugly at 12.7mm. To ensure a secure press fit, I carefully heated up the bearings using my toaster oven, exercising caution not to burn myself. The center bearing clicks into place with moderate force, while center caps are also included but remain untested. Many other spinners have created useful center caps compatible with 608 bearings, which can be easily adapted. I've added two new files: "short" and "spacer." The former reduces the height of the design to facilitate easier printing and handling, requiring users to manually center the bearings. Meanwhile, the latter helps center the balls in the shorter version.
