Standards: CCSS Overview and Background: To avoid purchasing a fidget spinner, students decided to learn how to make one themselves. We found a model, and they discovered how to create movable parts. Lesson Plan and Activity: Step 1: Create a circle with a box attached at a height of 5, then group them together. Step 2: Duplicate this shape two more times, rotating the duplicates to form a Y shape. Step 3: Add a hold cylinder in the middle of the object, measuring 12x12. Step 4: Create a new object, a cylinder measuring 14x14x2. Place a tube on top, measuring 10x10x4, and group these together. Step 5: Duplicate this shape and insert another cylinder into the duplicated shape's tube, measuring 7x7x8. Step 6: Remix to your liking!
