Fidget Spinner (12mm Bearing Weights, For Large Hands)
thingiverse
A friend of mine recently asked me to 3D print him a fidget toy that would challenge even the largest hands. He specified that he wanted to use heavy weights made from 60012 12mm bearings, which are far from ordinary 608 bearings. To create this custom design, I drew up my own model in Autodesk 123D Design. The end result is a high-quality fidget toy for those who crave heavier weights and larger hands. I believe that providing clear instructions is essential when sharing designs online, so I will always include detailed guides on Thingiverse to ensure users know exactly which files to print. If you have any questions or would like to share your progress, please don't hesitate to ask – I'm happy to help! Print Settings: Printer: M3D Micro Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 30% nozzle diameter Infill: 30% Notes: For optimal results, I recommend printing the main frame of the spinner with an impact-resistant material like ABS. If you don't have a heated bed for ABS, use a PVA-based glue stick to protect the print bed. Post-Printing: Minimal cleanup is required after printing. Depending on your printer, stringing may occur, but this can be easily fixed. The bearings and finger rests need to be glued in place using fast-drying adhesive like Krazy-glue. All holes were designed to fit loosely around the bearings without excessive pressure. Required Parts & Files: Version 1.0: Files: rpmblade.stl, finger_rest.stl Materials: ABS (or other impact-resistant filament), flexible filament of your choice Parts: x1 608zz 8mm bearing or equivalent (I used a ceramic bearing – if metal ones don't spin fast enough, soak in acetone and spray with WD-40), x3 60012 12mm bearings
