I really loved the original print job, but unfortunately, I struggled to achieve accurate axle sizes after laying down the model on the print bed. To ensure proper alignment, make sure you place it on the correct side! My fix was to design a custom spacer that securely holds an M3 bolt in place using two M3x12 bolts and hex nuts. The spacer's outer diameter is meticulously crafted to be slightly smaller than the gear holes, allowing for smooth rotation. Meanwhile, the bushing is engineered to be about 0.5mm longer than the gears' thickness. Depending on your printer settings, you might need to fine-tune the length for optimal results. The goal is to strike a perfect balance between leaving enough space for free movement and preventing excessive wobbling. When tightening the bolts, remember to apply just the right amount of pressure – snug enough to keep everything in place without compressing the spacers or restricting gear rotation.
