Fidget Fob

Fidget Fob

I was searching for a compact silent fidget that didn't feature clicky buttons or switches, but I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. So, I designed this. The fidget has an indentation on one side for rubbing with your thumb. It also features a built-in bearing so the fidget can be spun, swung and flicked. Additionally, it is a nice size to fit discreetly into your hand. This design prints as a single piece. This design isn't intended to be a spinner in itself and is both unweighted and unbalanced. The printed texture feels okay, but I prefer the fidget after it has been sanded smooth. The second version includes an embedded keyring so that the fidget can be clipped onto a key-ring. To embed the ring, set your printer to pause at 6.4mm and drop the ring in. The small block printed along with the fidget will keep the ring flat as the top prints. It will accommodate a ring with an ID of 20mm and OD of 26mm. I have included the 123d file if you need to tweak the ring size. There are two versions because some of my filament wouldn't handle the 0.2mm tolerance for the spinner button / bearing. The slack bearing version has a 0.5mm tolerance. I've only tested this in PLA.
