Fidget Cube with S-hinges
thingiverse
The special thing about this Fidget-Cube compared to similar constructions is: * it can be printed without support * the S hinges are easily replaceable in case of breakage * every single cube can be printed in a different color It's disadvantageous: * you must use a brim for printing * good bed adhesion is necessary to prevent the dice from tipping over * the individual cubes must be assembled after printing In return, you get a colorful toy that is a real hand holder due to its rounded edges and corners, and that can also survive or be repaired in a rough fall. The S hinges are also used by my flexagon, take a look at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3083967 I recommend using 5mm brim for printing, and sticking with glue stick or similar. You have to print: 4 x fidget-cube_s-hinge_cube.stl 4 x fidget-cube_s-hinge_cube_mirrowed.stl 8 x fidget-cube_s-hinge_hinge.stl (without brim!) UPDATE_1: You can scale this down to 60%, I have tested this. I added downscaled files, but you can also scale it down with another factor by your own in your slicer. UPDATE_2: I have uploaded V2. The only difference is a built-in "brim" for much better bed adhesion. Now it should be easier to print. UPDATE_3: A flat laying version has been added (with "flat" in filename). Thanks to Jure Simon, I did not think of this orientation.
