Caution! I have a report of LEDs on a Fibonacci PCB failing after running at high brightness in an enclosure for extended periods of time. Running LEDs at high brightness can cause excessive heat, which drastically reduces the life of the LEDs. To prevent this, please run your LEDs at low brightness and consider adding ventilation holes or closely monitoring the internal temperature to keep it under control. I will try to redesign the enclosure for better passive heat ventilation. This may involve making adjustments to the design to allow for more airflow and reduce heat buildup. Fibonacci64 is a beautiful 86mm circular disc with 64 WS2812B RGB LEDs surface mounted in a Fibonacci distribution, giving it a unique and eye-catching appearance. The board is fully open-source software and can be programmed over Wi-Fi or micro USB cable. To build your own Fibonacci64, you will need to source the following parts: * A Fibonacci64 - 86mm disc with 64 WS2812B RGB LEDs * A 3D printed case * Black LED Acrylic sheet (available in various sizes) * ESP8266 Level Shifter Shield * ESP8266 microcontroller * SN74HCT245N Level Shifter * 0.10µF Capacitor * 470 ohm resistors Instructions for assembling the controller can be found on the Evil Genius Labs website. Here are some photos of the Fibonacci64 in action:
