STL PRINTING NOTES: ENLARGE STL by 380% for hex drill and screwdriver bits The SCAD files are fibonacci orbs made of objects rotated towards the center, so you can create any kind of lamp and fibonacci based object from 8 to 1232 fascia. There is also a SCAD fibonacci sphere code on Thingiverse. There are over 100 .SCAD files in a .zip with different numbers of pencils from 8 to 1232 pencils because I had to generate them in a separate program. If you want to use it commercially, please consider tipping me, as I had to write a SCAD code parser to send matrices from another program. (Even just to encourage me to upload more files) SCAD FILE INSTRUCTIONS: Notes: ENLARGE STL by 380% for drill bit. The hexagons are 2.0 units from corner to corner. A drill bit is 7.333mm in largest diameter, so enlarge to get ~7.6mm - it fits perfectly for me..... 1. Choose the SCAD file with the number of pencils/drill bits you want to create. 2. Resize the spheres in the SCAD file to suit the number of holes/holder size. 3. Change the cylinders #fn value from 6 to 20 segments if you prefer a smoother look. 4. You can change the sphere number of fragments for a nicer appearance, default is 100 - it should be higher on large spheres. Divide it into two halves by copying the SCAD with a half sphere on top of the array and adjusting the loop number. That's all - print the fibonacci spiral/pencil holder! If you want to create fibonacci sphere based anything in SCAD, this is probably the best place for it. Lamps, anything round. Thanks to everyone who helps! If you have access to a round piece of steel, place a magnet on the steel inside the drill bit holder, then the drill bits will hold in place easily.
