<p>I did not like any of the parametric golf balls I was able to find, so I designed my own. This uses the fibonacci lattice to distribute points on the surface of a sphere in a relatively even way.</p> <p>The included STL has a diameter of 42.7mm, dimple diameter of 3.5mm, and dimple depth of 0.18mm. 360 dimples fit with these parameters and no overlap.</p> <p>Render time on my 5900x is 55 minutes at the stock settings.</p> <p>Update 2/15 - Added a lower-poly (but smoother) version using the excellent geodesic_sphere from <a href="https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1484333">https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1484333</a></p> Category: Sport & Outdoors
