I have rendered many of the combinations with the slot. I did not generate a blank top with a view port or the top feed port only top... in both those cases you can just add a view port where the hydrometer is... if you are not using one. The openscad file is provided (Fibo_Hygrometer_Top_Port_Latch_Platform_Options.scad). The viewing port currently takes a 125mm x 18mm x .5mm thick. This is commonly the plastic used in clear plastic jugs and containers... so no need to buy anything special. The viewport bracket can be held on with plastic screws 2.5mm in diameter and 9mm long. I also put a larger holed print that should hold an M3 bolt. When I get some M3 flat head screws I will see if I can size one to use just the M3 screw with no nut. The other options: I wrote a script that adds round or rectangular holes to the top of the lid for a hygrometer… so much easier than the first 3 I cut manually. I rendered all the options for you so you can just download what you want I also added an option for a PTFE port in the lid for feeding off the top of the spool. This may help people with different orientations. If you print with the lid port right now I put a PTFE fitting in both and made a short cap for the one I am not using. I or someone else using this will post a plug for the 9.5mm hole you don’t use and save you the PC4M10 fitting cost. There is one base option if you are not printing the original SMALL base which you get from Piddey’s page. The base I am posting here has clamp ridges to hold the box in place. If you are going to print the Top feed option I highly recommend you print the bases with the notch so you have the option to prevent the entire box from getting pulled into your printer should you get a jam. The bottom feed won’t drag the box off the railed shelf and on a table is likely to just drag it forward, not tip it over. The script to generate the lids is included should you want to have at it. This script also renders the platforms I designed to lock the FiBos into place. I am going to post the platforms and parts in a separate library so they don’t get lost in all the files. I put up some hygrometer test frames and the code to generate them. I print the rectangular hole really small... based on actual measurements to get a good seal. The test frame will print at 45.5mm x 26.5mm. Make sure the clips are clear of extra plastic ridges from the holding process. Should you have a problem the code to gen a box and hole is included as an SCAD file.
