Fiberglass rod ends for Rostock
thingiverse
To modify Rostock rod ends, use a 5/16 Fiberglass rod from Tap Plastics and bond it with epoxy. The tapered shaft provides a snug fit for the epoxy to bond without leakage. Snip off the box at the end of the shaft to keep it centered. Cut rods to desired length, apply epoxy inside, insert ends, let it set, and enjoy your modified Rostock rod. Both ABS and PLA can be used for printing. Fiberglass rods are available at http://www.tapplastics.com/product/plastics/plastic_rods_tubes_shapes/fiberglass_rod/159, while plastic epoxy can be purchased from http://www.homedepot.com/buy/loctite-085-fl-oz-plastic-epoxy-1360788.html#.UN-0HHfNl8E.
