The 3D printed device features polyjet VeroClear material precision for creating 250µ holes. It is utilized to scratch, groove, and score multiple sizes of plastic optical fibers at varied angles. This tool aids in fiber sensitization for specific applications within our sensing technology. Its mechanism employs only two springs, an office cutter blade, and a 1/4'' adjustment screw with bushing. An earlier design includes a CNC-ed square Scoring Machine with a single part from a 1.25'' acrylic square bar, fixed via M3 screws on four acrylic rods and utilizes an 18mm blade.
