Fiber Optics collimating lens mount
thingiverse
Attaching a fiber optic and collimating lens to a panel with spacers requires precision of only a few hundred microns. This setup centers the fiber, despite its crudeness. The design was created using OpenSCAD. To improve the attachment, adjust screw hole locations according to your specific needs. Use dark opaque plastic or mark with a sharpie to prevent stray light. If you have warped printed parts, use black felt as a gasket for added light sealing. Attach the components with screws and secure the collimating lens, which can easily cut into PLA due to its fine threads.
