This is an easy adapter to attach a fiber optic light guide to an optiphot epi illuminator. The epi illuminator has an m37x1mm thread, and I have this one set up to accept an 18.5mm light guide. I have been very satisfied with the end result--it's extremely bright and it is much easier than figuring out the original Nikon hardware.
