This is a device built to showcase how fiber optics works due to total internal reflection that I made for a science project in grade 10. It is assembled without any tools and can be used for educational purposes. Also can be used in conjunction with an Arduino and a photo-resistor to detect when light reaches the other side. I used this to demonstrate a Morse code decoder, using flashes of light as dots and dashes. Uses 2 AA batteries with LED and resistor as well as a push button. All of it fits inside the box, with optical fibers threaded through the long tube to the Arduino and photo-resistor setup.
