X1/9 needles often warp, and you can easily remove the white residue by carefully scraping at the pins on the backside with a precision tool or something sharp. A small drop of super glue will usually secure this needle in place. My printer skills are still a work in progress, so I'd recommend trying out PLA or nylon filament if you're not satisfied with your ABS prints. I had decent luck with my pink filament-loaded print, and it snapped into the black holder without any issues.
