Fiat Tagliero -Eritrea-
thingiverse
Fiat Tagliero is Eritrea. I recently found this striking service station while searching for fascinating information on Tokyo. It was built in 1938, so I looked it up to see what all the buzz is about! According to reports, a Japanese man had his eye caught by an attractive service station located on Asmara Avenue, not too far from Eritrea's stunning mountains. I read that he saw it from a high altitude plane. He went back down and checked it out himself; it looked awesome from above, like some incredible 1930s futuristic thing, like what the movie makers made of cars driving up on big slabs of road like an airforce runway at the beginning of Road Warrior. He loved the way the service station curved around so beautifully, giving an extra touch to this building which resembles a large white aircraft landing on top. This has to be something that makes one pause and reflect: how did he end up coming all this way for what seems like such a simple, everyday sight - especially when thinking about it from a high point, from where you see nothing else except this big square of flat space going far out with just the service station sitting at its centre.
