Fiat Shower Drain Plate 4.5 x 4.5 inch

If someone can enlighten me as to why an everyday object such as a shower drain grill carries the name of a car manufacturer, I would greatly appreciate it in the comments section. But this irregular shape of the plate is sometimes referred to as the 4.5 inch diameter Ford plate or the 4.5 x 4.5 inch Ford plate, and neither term is entirely accurate because it's neither square nor round. I attempted to replicate the shape of the original plate (which had cracked and needed replacement), but ultimately didn't quite succeed, so some minor trimming with a knife may be necessary. I do provide the OpenSCAD model for those who dislike knives and prefer making digital adjustments to their shape. This plate is designed to fit 3 inch drain pipes, featuring a cylindrical section on its underside for interfacing purposes, similar to the original Ford plate.
