thingiverse
Hungary's Fiat F2F, a Rare and Elusive Aircraft. The Fiat F2F was a single-engine biplane fighter aircraft used by the Royal Hungarian Air Force. Its design is based on the Italian Fiat CR.32, with some notable modifications to suit the needs of Hungary. The aircraft features a sturdy fuselage, a wingspan of approximately 9 meters, and a length of around 6.5 meters. The Fiat F2F was powered by a Fiat A.74 R.C.38 radial engine, producing 840 horsepower. This allowed it to reach speeds of up to 410 km/h and climb at an impressive rate of 14.7 meters per second. The aircraft's armament consisted of two fixed .303 Browning machine guns mounted on the fuselage. The Royal Hungarian Air Force operated the Fiat F2F during World War II, using it for both air-to-air combat and ground attack missions. Its performance in these roles was notable, with several aces claiming victories while flying this aircraft. Despite its success, the Fiat F2F saw limited production due to Hungary's involvement in the war. Today, only a few examples of the Fiat F2F remain, making it one of the rarest and most sought-after World War II-era aircraft for collectors and enthusiasts.
